What decided it

The isolated position of the host property at the end of the cul-de-sac and its lack of integration into a wider streetscene meant that the proposed full-height extension would not appear out of character with its immediate surroundings, and the conflict with subservience requirements could be resolved through flexible application of policy to the particular circumstances.
