What decided it

The visual intrusiveness and oppressive appearance of the proposed dwelling's north-east facing gable elevation in close proximity to No. 3 Meadowbrook, combined with the built form being out of keeping with the existing character of detached dwellings with separate garages, resulted in harm to living conditions and character that outweighed the limited benefits of providing one additional dwelling.
