Main issues, as the Inspector framed them
- The effect of the proposed development on the character and appearance of the host dwelling and its surroundings on Mill Lane and the Fordham Conservation Area
What decided it
The harm to the Conservation Area from the unsympathetic alterations to the rear extension roof and rear elevation fenestration, which would fail to preserve the character of this positive contributor to the Conservation Area, outweighed any private benefits to the occupiers, whereas the new south entrance could be acceptable with appropriate design control.
