What decided it

The design quality of the scheme, with its open front and sides and largely transparent glazed roof maintaining views of the shopfront façade, combined with the physical demarcation preventing congregation near the residential entrance, meant the proposal would not have unacceptable adverse impacts on character, appearance or living conditions.
