What decided it

The domestic and suburban appearance of the proposed annexe, particularly the roller shutter garage door and porch canopy, would fail to respect the traditional and agrarian character of the converted farmstead buildings, and this harm to character and appearance could not be outweighed by the appellant's personal circumstances.
