What decided it

The roof dormer as constructed overwhelms the house and its connection to the rear outrigger is awkward and unsympathetic, failing to comply with development plan policy and SPD guidance; the rear extension creates unacceptable overbearing impact and visual intrusion to neighbouring properties by extending to the full width of the plot adjacent to the common boundary.
