The proposal's design, particularly the shallower roof pitch, taller eaves, and modern glazing features, would create an incongruous and visually intrusive feature that would cause significant harm to the character and appearance of the AONB, conflicting with development plan policies and NPPF paragraph 176 which requires great weight to be given to conservation of AONB landscape and scenic beauty.
