What decided it
The more compact and reduced-scale layout of facilities proposed in Appeal C avoided the harm to the character and appearance of the area found in the more spread-out layouts of Appeals A and B.
The recreational, health and wellbeing benefits of the equestrian use were common to all three appeals, but only in Appeal C were these not outweighed by conflict with LP Policy R5, leading to Appeal C being allowed and Appeals A and B being dismissed.
