What decided it

The buildings' unauthorised departure from their approved prior approval details and the resulting harm to landscape character and irreplaceable ancient woodland habitat, unmitigated by any outweighing benefit, led to dismissal of the appeals.

the harm to the character and appearance of the AHLV and the loss/deterioration of irreplaceable ancient woodland habitat was not outweighed by the storage and welfare benefits claimed for woodland management, so the development conflicted with the development plan as a whole and no other considerations justified a decision otherwise than in accordance with it
