What decided it
The use of timber cladding in principle is an incongruous building material in a location where natural stone is the overwhelmingly dominant material for domestic buildings, and this harm cannot be overcome by colour adjustment or conditions, as it conflicts with the great weight that must be given to conserving landscape and scenic beauty in National Parks under paragraph 176 of the Framework.
