The gates, gate posts, access track and hardstanding were found to cause no significant harm and to serve a justified agricultural/remediation purpose, so permission was granted for them, whereas the stone boulders' significant harm to character and appearance, unmatched by any substantial public benefit, meant permission for them was refused.
