What decided it

The attenuation pond in the south-east corner was physically and functionally severable from the rest of the proposal and not required for adequate drainage, and its removal would prevent harm to retained trees, making the remainder of the scheme acceptable.

The benefits of the proposal in terms of improved site appearance, enhanced biodiversity, and economic and social benefits to the local rural community outweighed the loss of the TPO tree T02.
