What decided it
The individually important and cumulatively compelling adverse social and environmental impacts of residential development in an isolated, unsustainable countryside location with harm to landscape character substantially outweigh the modest housing benefits, even in the context of a housing land supply shortfall.
The modest social, economic and environmental benefits of delivering two dwellings and contributing to housing supply were significantly and demonstrably outweighed by the substantial adverse impacts of locating isolated homes in an unsustainable countryside location and causing unacceptable harm to character, appearance and landscape value, such that the presumption in favour of sustainable development did not apply.
