What decided it
The adverse impacts on highway safety, arising from the cramped shared drive arrangement creating dangerous reversing movements and inadequate manoeuvring space, significantly and demonstrably outweighed the benefits of housing supply.
The benefits of boosting local housing supply and making efficient use of a sustainably located site weighed significantly in favour, but the compelling highway safety concerns outweighed these benefits when assessed against the Framework as a whole under the tilted balance.
