The proposed entirely flat roof above the main section of the dwelling would be at odds with the prevailing roofscape characteristic of the area, and the tall timber fence would introduce a hard boundary treatment incongruous with the verdant character, resulting in harmful effects on character and appearance that conflict with the development plan.
