What decided it
The proposal failed to meet the exceptional design quality test in paragraph 84(e) of the Framework for isolated dwellings in the countryside and would not provide a suitable location for housing having regard to poor accessibility to services and facilities.
The adverse impacts of granting permission, particularly the unsuitability of the location for housing and failure to meet the exceptional design test, would significantly and demonstrably outweigh the limited socio-economic benefits of a single dwelling, such that it would not constitute sustainable development.
