Main issues, as the Inspector framed them
- the effect of the development on the character and appearance of the surrounding area
- the effect of the development on the living conditions of neighbouring occupiers
What decided it
The development, despite deviations from the approved scheme in roof form and porch height, is acceptable on its merits having regard to the substantial variety in design and alterations in the immediate area and the particular circumstances of the site, and accordingly accords with the development plan taken as a whole.
No balancing exercise was undertaken as the Inspector found the development to accord with the development plan with no material considerations of sufficient weight indicating determination should be otherwise.
