What decided it

The proposed hub's visually incongruous and over-dominant siting on the pavement outside McDonald's would materially harm the setting of the Redhill Town Centre Conservation Area and exacerbate street clutter, and the modest public benefits could not outweigh this less-than-substantial harm.

The less-than-substantial harm to the setting of the Redhill Town Centre Conservation Area outweighed the modest public benefits of the proposal, including Wi-Fi, device charging, free calls and wayfinding services.
