The front windows would introduce an incongruous pane arrangement (6 over 2) in uPVC that would be incompatible with the neighbouring Edwardian terraced houses which retain original timber sash windows with ornate glazing bars, whereas the rear works would not result in harm as they are not visible from the street and replace non-original features.
