What decided it
The harmful effect on the character and appearance of the area and the setting of the Chichester Harbour National Landscape caused by the proposed flat-roofed design, forward positioning, and bulk, which would overwhelm the established uniformity of pitched-roof properties along the shoreline, outweighed the limited benefits of providing a high specification family home.
