What decided it

The prominent location of the appeal site at the end of the terrace and the visibility of the mansard roof as a clumsy addition in views from Englefield Road and the rear elevation from Ufton Road and Culford Road would cause significant harm to the character and appearance of the host building and fail to preserve the character and appearance of the De Beauvoir Conservation Area.
