What decided it

The combination of two adjoining two-storey side extensions would create a terracing effect and uncharacteristic closure of the gap between the semi-detached pair, which is a defining characteristic of St Luke's Road, and would result in unacceptable overbearing impact to neighbouring residential amenity.
