Main issues, as the Inspector framed them
- Whether prior approval should be granted under Article 3(1) and Schedule 2, Part 1, Class AA of the GPDO, having particular regard to the effect of the proposed development on the external appearance of the dwellinghouse
What decided it
The additional storey would disrupt the prevailing two-storey architecture of the terraced properties and harm the character and appearance of the dwellinghouse by appearing incongruous and unbalancing the coherent and consistent design and height of the terrace.
