Main issues, as the Inspector framed them
- Whether the site is suitable for residential development having regard to its location, the proposed land use and the amount of development
What decided it
The Council's inability to demonstrate a five-year housing land supply engaged the presumption in favour of sustainable development, and the modest benefits of the development were not significantly and demonstrably outweighed by adverse impacts.
The modest economic and social benefits of enabling six new dwellings in a sustainably located position on the edge of the village outweighed the adverse impacts of allowing development outside the settlement boundary contrary to the development plan
