The scale and mass of the rear dormer, extending to almost the full width of the roof slope and occupying more than half of both the width and depth of the roof slope, is visually incongruous and overly dominant, causing adverse effects on the character and appearance of the dwelling and area contrary to Policy DE1 and the SPD guidance.
