What decided it

The proposal would fundamentally alter the side roof profile through replacement of the hip with a full-height gable, disrupting the balanced appearance of the semi-detached pair and the established pattern of hipped roofs that characterises this part of Mogador Road, thereby conflicting with Policy DES1 and the Council's Householder Extensions and Alterations SPG.
