What decided it

The Council's own Environmental Health Officers agreed that a noise limit of 69 dB LAF Max, 5 minutes between 8pm and 10pm would be acceptable, demonstrating that extending hours to 10pm would not result in unacceptable loss of amenity to neighbouring residents.

The benefits of extending operational hours to 10pm for the sports facility were balanced against the protection of neighbouring residential amenity, with the balance tipping in favour of the extended hours given the robust noise evidence and agreed noise limits with the Council's professional advisors.
