What decided it

The proposal would be harmful to the integrity of the Stodmarsh designated habitats sites due to increased nutrient inputs from wastewater, with no adequate mitigation strategy in place, providing a clear reason for refusal under paragraph 11(d)(i) of the Framework.

The modest housing supply benefits, previously developed land status, and limited economic benefits were outweighed by the conflict with the spatial strategy, harm to character and appearance, and significant harm to the integrity of the Stodmarsh designated habitats sites.
