What decided it

The mitigation measures identified and secured by condition to prevent water pollution entering the watercourse, combined with the building's modest dimensions and siting within a landscape dip with natural screening, satisfied the Inspector that the development would cause no adverse effects on the protected habitats sites or the character and appearance of the landscape.

The benefits of the agricultural development consistent with countryside location and modern farming practices were balanced against landscape and environmental concerns, with the balance tipping in favour of the proposal given the effective mitigation of potential impacts on habitats sites and the building's integration into the landscape character.
