What decided it
The additional works now sought would not lead to a significant increase in capacity or parking pressure compared to the existing facilities already approved on the site, and the site's accessible location with public car parking within 200 metres and good public transport links meant the proposal would not result in unacceptable highway impacts.
The limited additional parking pressure from the ancillary spaces (lobby and dormer) was outweighed by the fact that the majority of the building's increased capacity had already been approved, the site's accessible town centre location with alternative transport modes, and the absence of objection from highways and parking authorities.
