What decided it

The proposed extension and garage would harm the character and appearance of the host dwelling and fail to conserve and enhance the natural beauty of the AONB, conflicting with adopted development plan policies that promote high standards of building design and AONB protection.

The arguments advanced by the appellants did not outweigh the harm to character and appearance and the AONB, and the policy conflict therefore the appeal did not succeed.
