What decided it

The proposed extension would reduce light and outlook below the SPD-advised separation distance in a manner that would not be justified by the individual merits of the case, thereby failing to provide suitable living conditions for occupiers and conflicting with Policy DM1 and NPPF paragraph 130.

The private benefits of additional living space to occupants of the appeal property did not outweigh the harm to light and outlook identified by the Inspector.
