What decided it

The site's allocation for housing in the adopted Development Management Plan, combined with the proposal's accordance with the development plan and the Council's inability to demonstrate a five-year housing land supply, required approval under paragraph 11(c) of the Framework.

The benefits of housing delivery and compliance with the development plan outweighed the concerns about loss of existing open space, which was mitigated by new on-site open space and contributions to public footpath improvements.
