What decided it

The forward projection of the main ridge line and accompanying changes to the side elevations would reduce the quality of the dwelling and erode its character, conflicting with design policies and the Council's Supplementary Planning Document.

The harm to character and appearance of the host dwelling and wider area outweighed any considerations put forward by the appellants, resulting in dismissal of both appeals.
