What decided it

The existing condition and character of the site as an enclosed, hardstanding-covered storage area meant the development would not result in harmful impact on the designated Green Space, and the proposal with landscaping would provide visual and biodiversity improvements compared to the current and fallback positions.

The conflict with SWDP Policy 38 was outweighed by the lack of harmful impact on the Green Space designation, visual and biodiversity improvements, similarity to the fallback garage position, and socio-economic benefits of delivering a new dwelling.
