Main issues, as the Inspector framed them
- The effect of the north facing digital advertisement display on drivers of vehicles approaching from the north and the consequential effect on the public safety of the occupants of other vehicles and pedestrians
What decided it
The proposed digital advertisement would not cause harm to public safety as it would not create unacceptable additional distraction to road users compared to the existing illuminated advertisement it replaces, and would not obstruct sight lines to nearby traffic lights.
