Main issues, as the Inspector framed them
- The increase in people and vehicular traffic using the property with deleterious effects on neighbouring living conditions and highway safety
What decided it
The limited scale of the holiday accommodation (two-person capacity) and availability of ample on-street parking in the area meant that the development would not result in significant adverse effects on highway safety or neighbouring living conditions, and was supported by the local plan's tourism policy.
The benefits of tourism development and economic growth supported by policy E5 outweighed the concerns about parking and amenity impacts, which the Inspector found would not be significant or unacceptable.
