What decided it

The substantial weight given to the renewable energy and climate change mitigation benefits of the scheme outweighed the moderate landscape, visual and agricultural land harms identified.

The moderate weight attributed to harm to character and appearance and to agricultural productivity, together with slight weight for biodiversity benefits, was outweighed by the substantial weight given to renewable energy benefits, so the planning balance fell in favour of the proposal.
