What decided it

The proposal would result in less than substantial harm to the character and appearance of the Eakring Conservation Area by urbanising an open corner plot that currently provides a gradual transition between countryside and the historic village core, and this harm could not be outweighed by the limited social and economic benefits of a single dwelling.
