What decided it

The proposal would introduce a bulky, uncharacteristic crown roof and prominent front gable extension that would appear incongruous in the local context, and would create an overbearing flank wall causing harmful overshadowing and loss of light to the adjoining property Hillside, thereby conflicting with Policies HOU11 and DES4.
