Main issues, as the Inspector framed them
- the effect of the proposed development on the character and appearance of the area
- the effect of the proposed development on the living conditions of the occupiers of neighbouring properties, with regards to outlook and natural light
What decided it
The proposed garage would be substantially more bulky and visually dominating than the existing car port, interrupting the consistent layout of car ports and substantially eroding openness, whilst also causing unacceptable harm to the outlook and living conditions of the neighbouring property at No 17.
