What decided it

The unacceptable risk to highway safety arising from the intensified use of the access onto the fast, busy A47 outweighed the benefits of meeting unmet gypsy and traveller need.

The considerable weight given to harm to highway safety and the significant weight given to harm to the Green Wedge outweighed the substantial weight given to the lack of a five year pitch supply, the unmet need, the lack of alternative sites, and the families' personal circumstances.
