The unacceptable risk of contaminated firewater reaching the aquifer supplying drinking water to local residents, combined with insufficient survey evidence regarding dormouse presence and unacceptable harm to landscape character and the setting of the Dorset National Landscape, outweighed the significant benefits of the renewable energy infrastructure.
