What decided it

The raised ridge and eaves levels would create excessive vertical emphasis making the extended property appear unduly elongated and disproportionately tall, resulting in an overly dominant and incongruous presence that significantly diminishes the architectural integrity of the host dwelling and undermines the cohesion of the distinctive Edwardian group within the Conservation Area.
