What decided it

The Inspector's satisfaction that outstanding drainage matters could be reasonably addressed through suitably worded planning conditions, combined with the absence of conflict with development plan policy on character and appearance, justified allowing the appeal.

The benefits of providing additional sporting opportunities and making effective use of previously developed land in a sustainable location outweighed any concerns regarding character and appearance and drainage, which could be adequately controlled by condition.
