What decided it

The proposed bungalow's contemporary design would be significantly out of keeping with the traditional character of Sarre and would appear incongruous in its surroundings, causing harm that demonstrably outweighs the benefits of providing a single dwelling in an area with insufficient housing land supply.

The benefits of housing delivery in an area with less than 5 years' supply were outweighed by the significant harm to the character and appearance of the locality, with the environmental benefits of the design not outweighing the design harm.
