What decided it

The ground level difference of approximately 1 metre between the extension site and the neighbouring garden, combined with the lower eaves height and boundary screening, ensured the extension would not harm the living conditions or outlook of the neighbouring occupiers despite exceeding the SPD guidance on extension length.
