The proposed dwellings, when finished in a style complementary to existing housing, would not appear manifestly at odds with the prevailing form and appearance of the area and would not create an awkward juxtaposition within the wider street scene.
The benefits of housing delivery on previously developed land and efficient use of the site outweighed any concerns about the change in appearance from the existing ambulance station use, particularly given the Council's demonstrated five-year housing land supply.
