What decided it
The cumulative effect of the extension, rooflights and porch erodes the historic agricultural character and significance of the curtilage listed building, causing less than substantial harm that cannot be justified by the private benefits claimed.
The less than substantial harm to the significance of the listed building outweighs the private benefits of additional living space, light and safety, which are not sufficient to justify the works and are not necessary for the continued viable residential use of the property.
