The proposed house's unusual and inharmonious design, with its mono pitch roof, cantilever overhangs, and irregular form, would be fundamentally at odds with the striking uniformity of the surrounding semi-detached dwellings and would fail to comply with Policy CS.9's requirement that design innovation reflect and complement the immediate local environment.
